Birthday Fishing :)
My friend found this cool looking card on Pinterest, and I wish I knew who it was to give credit, but it was all on her smart phone :) Anyway, we made our own pattern by sight and created one. I think it turned out pretty neat! One 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper will make two! Hope you like it!

Creating Crafty Storage
I've repurposed the old packaging for these jars by cutting peek-a-boo holes in the fronts, adhering a white panel behind and painting the rest black to showcase what's inside the jars. And I threw in two paper flowers I've made since getting the Stampin Up blossom punch for Christmas! Thanks MIL!

Updated (Brass) Candlesticks
My first attempt at a painting and sealing project. The painting went ok but you can see the mistakes. The sealant went horribly wrong, it pooled in places and there are visible flaws. The photography covers it nicely, but in person you can see it. Not sure if painting is really up my alley! lol But hey, I gave it a shot. I like the new contemporary look. And the snowflakes are removable, they are only plastic :)
Creative Christmas Tags!
These are a couple of Christmas tags I put together using stamping, inktense pencils, fussy cutting, vellum and tearing. I think they turned out cute. The Joyous one has some 3D effects which are hard to catch in the photo. I've submitted these to the http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/ for their weekly challenge.

Snow Day 2012!
So I took some photos of the blizzard, and then thought I'd grab some candids of things in the house. Here you can see my little Christmas tree (undecorated) and my two cats, Leinie and O'Malley :)

Thank you Kittie Kraft!
What a great card, a masterpiece! I couldn't help scraplifting this idea and hand cutting my own templates to create a similar look. First I'll post her card, then mine so you can see them both!

GO TEAM JADEN!
Team Jaden was formed to help support a young person with Wilm's Tumor. When I was
approached to create his keepsake box for gift cards and notes from his friends at
school I couldn't turn them down. I'm also a Wilm's Tumor SURVIVOR!!

Weekly Challenge
Challenge Project
What can you make with:
Duct Tape
Coffee Filters
Used dryer sheets
Tinfoil
and Lunch bags?
ANSWER: A wearable hat! :)
That's what I came up with anyway! Other projects ranged from mini albums to decorated bags for gifting. What will you come up with?
Friendly Scarecrow Bag!
MyScrapRoom.ning.com hosts a variety of awesome challenges. One is posted each week, and it runs from Sunday through Sunday. (Except this week, she is having some trouble, but check back soon!) This is my scarecrow bag from the past week! Rules were that you had to start with a craft colored handled bag and use burlap or fabric somewhere, and attach a tag. My fabric and tag were made out of an old pair of recycled jeans :) The tag on his hat was the leather jeans tag, and the buckles are merely printed paper ones with a real gold button for shine. I hand made the flower and added some shredded, recycled paper for her hair. The face is craft cardstock that I cut and then scored. I smooshed on some fake color to define it and added some cut paper pieces to create his face. I hope you'll join me in trying this fun fall project. Don't forget to comment and link me to your photo so I can see your creation! :) Happy crafting!
